Following the reading, children will participate in a hands-on heritage craft: creating their very own old-fashioned church fan. Perfect for ages 5–8, this interactive activity allows children to illustrate their own favorite traditions, family memories, or expressions of community on a classic keepsake cardstock fan, bridging the book's timeless themes with their own unique stories.

Stacey is an educator with 20 years of experience in Pennsylvania’s public school system. A lifelong believer in the power of storytelling to impart wisdom, Stacey focuses on the profound impact of “everyday stories” on generational familial relationships. She is making her debut in Nostalgic Fiction with Homecoming, and is currently developing a novel that explores the intricate ways individuals from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds find unexpected common ground.
